  3 ii.   Mathurin Langevin, born Bet. 1600 - 1615 in L'Angevin, Lode, Angers, Anjou, France; died in Quebec. He married (1) Marie Renaut October 05, 1654 in Quebec City. He married (2) Marie Therese Martin October 09, 1674 in Quebec; born in France; died in Quebec.
  Notes for Mathurin Langevin:
He was only referred to as Mr. Langevin, and he was one of the soldiers who in 1653 rescued French settlers who were being held captive by the Iroquois, Indians. Mathurin arrived in Quebec in 1653, and he was often referred to as dit "La Croix". He was a hero from the Barony of La Conchature in St. Andre', and was well known in early Canadian history as a fierce Indian fighter, and known for his bravery.
