He married Marie Mercereau (Source: "Staten Island Genealogical Records" FHL 0539055-56..) Abt. 1722 in Staten Island, New York, daughter of Joshua Mercereau and Marie Chadeayne. She was born May 11, 1695 in Staten Island, New York, and died Bet. 1771 - 1773 in Staten Island, New York.

Notes for Jean La Tourette:
Jean was baptized in the New York city French church in Manhattan, and he lived till he was 99 years old. He lived his entire life on Staten Island, and he inherited his father's home, and property when his father died. He lived in this home until his mother died in 1733. He then deeded the property to other members of the family, and he then moved with his family to Mariner's Harbour in the northwesterly corner of Staten Island. by profession Jean was a ship, and boat builder, and he was also a Yeoman (Farmer), and fisherman. He owned his own boat building business with his father-in-law Joshue Mercereau, and one of his uncles was in the business of operating Ferryboats going from Staten Island to Manhattan, Brooklyn, and New Jersey. Jean may have worked for the ferry line for a while, carrying goods, and people from Port Richmond. His ferry line also went to Perth Amboy in New Jersey. Court records in Staten Island show a deed by Jean, and his wife Marie to his brother-in-law Samuel Broome of 67 acres at Mariner's Point. Records also show a deed to his brother James La Tourette, another to Peter Zeluff in Northfield (Land which was later deeded by Peter Zeluff, and his son Solomon, whose daughter in 1811 married Paul La Tourette, a grandson of Jean). Also a deed has been found to his son John La Tourette for land adjoining the above 67 acres, and in 1774 a deed was recorded to his son Paul La Tourette of land adjacent to that of John's. In 1738 Jean was listed as a member of the New York Blue Artillery unit, and in 1739 he was elected as the Justice of the Court of Common Pleas for Staten Island, and he also served as the Port Richmond town clerk. He is mentioned again as a witness to his brother-in-law Samuel Broome's will, with his brother Henry La Tourette in 1771.

Notes for Marie Mercereau:
She is not to be confused with Marie Mercereau, her aunt, who married Jean de La Tourette senior. This Mary Mercereau, married Jean La Tourette jr., the son of Jean de La Tourette senior, and Marie Mercereau her aunt. Thusly, this couple were first cousins, an unusual combination.
