32. David³ La Tourette (David², Jean¹) was born Abt. 1739 in Staten Island, New York, and died November 19, 1808 in Staten Island, New York. He married (1) Marie Simonson in Staten Island, New York. She was born in Staten Island, New York, and died in Staten Island, New York. He married (2) Elizabeth Morgan December 31, 1761 in Staten island, new york. She died Abt. 1774 in Staten Island, New York.

Notes for David La Tourette:
David lived his entire life on Staten Island, and he was the Justice of the Peace on Staten Island, and he was also a Planter. He owned a small ferry from the Staten Island shores to Perth Amboy, New jersey. He brought passengers to his cousins Stage coach line, which went to Philadelphia. The Mercereau family had established this line years before, and it was called "The Flying Machines". David was also a member of the Committee of safety from 1775-1776. He remarried a second time to Marie Simonson. On 12 December, a1775 he refused to serve on a Committee for the British, and he told this to General gage personally. All the children were born to his second wife Marie Simonson.
