      1. Thomas1 Lynde (Source: Ancestral File..) was born November 03, 1595 in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, England, and died December 30, 1671 in Charlestown, Massachusetts. He married (1) Elizabeth Goodwin Abt. 1610 in England. She was born Abt. 1588 in England, and died Abt. 1632 in Charlestown, Massachusetts. He married (2) Margaret Martin October 08, 1633 in Massachusetts, daughter of John Martin. He married (3) Rebecca December 06, 1665 in Massachusetts. She died December 08, 1688 in Charlestown, Massachusetts.

Notes for Thomas Lynde:
Thomas, who was also sometimes styled as Thomas Lynds, was born in Dunstable, England, and he is given in some records there as a probable son of a Thomas Lynde who was born in that area ca. 1556, but no proof exists which proves this connection. Thomas left England sometime during the year of 1633, and he landed in Massachusetts colony. In 1634 he was living in Charlestown. On 04 March, 1635 he was made a freeman in Charlestown. In 1636; 1637, and in 1645 he was elected as a representative from Charlestown. For 14 years he was referred to in Charlestown Town records as a selectman. Some records indicate that he was with John Winthrop Jr., and his party, but no proof exists placing him there. His will mentions his last wife Rebecca, sons Joseph, Thomas, son-in-law Robert Pierpont, daughters Hannah Trerice, and Mary Weeks of Suckenessett, Massachusetts. Thomas also served as a Deacon in the Charlestown church, and he was a farmer. It is possible that Thomas had married twice, a First time to a woman named Margaret, and a second time to Elizabeth Goodwin. While this author has found no proof, it is possible that the first two boys were born to Margaret, and the other children to Elizabeth.

She was the widow of Thomas Jordan when she married for a second time to Thomas Lynde.

She was the widow of Captain Nichols Trerice.

  9 iv.   William Lynde, born October 14, 1644 in Charlestown, Massachusetts.
  10 v.   Samuel Lynde, born October 14, 1644 in Charlestown, Massachusetts.

Both William, and Samuel were baptized in Charlestown on the same day, this is not an exact birthday.
