1. Cornelius¹ Vander Hoeven (Source: "Van de Hoeven Family" FHL 0908772, item 3..) was born Abt. 1618 in Bresel, Holland, and died Bef. 1660 in Holland. He married Gertruy Cornelis Van Fulpen Abt. 1641 in holland. She was born Abt. 1620 in Holland, and died December 29, 1684 in Albany, New York.

Notes for Cornelius Vander Hoeven:
It is very unclear whether Cornelius ever came to New Amsterdam, for his wife was listed as a widow when she came over.

Notes for Gertruy Cornelis Van Fulpen:
Gertruy arrived in New Amsterdam as a widow on 09 May, 1661 on board the ship "Beaver" from Holland. She came over with her 6 children. She soon settled in Beford, Brooklyn, New York, and in 1675 she moved to Albany, New York, where she remarried Steven Jansen Conyn. Her last name was also referred to as Van Tulpen.
