1. Sebastiaen¹ Van Kortrych (Source: Abbott, John Howard "The Kortright (Cortright) Family of New York", 1922..) was born Abt. 1600 in Kortryk, West Flanders, Belgium.

Notes for Sebastiaen Van Kortrych:
He often just used the first name of Bastiaen, and he was probably from the River Waal region in southern Holland. He most likely fled to Leerdam because of the Spanish conquest of this area, and because of Religious persecution. The information found here was found in Riker's "History of Harlem", and this author has not conducted much research to this family line.
