The Guscinski Family of Jackson, MichiganUpdated October 10, 2006 |
|
| Research on our family has been going on for about six months. Much has been gleaned from records in Jackson County Clerk's office. Much has also been found on Family Tree Maker, One World Tree, from census and immigration records, etc. Also, I joined the local Genealogical Society which provides help in many ways, including trips to the Allen Library in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This research has been going on for only about 6 months. While this search basically started with the Guscinski and Czarnecki families (my mother and father), it has branched out into many other families due to marriages, etc. Other surnames I am researching are Weeks, Seymour, Pickell, Greiner, Chmielewski, Czarnecki, LaChance, Scott. The Guscinski's were originally from Russia. The Czarnecki's were from Prussia. The LaChance's from Canada and the Greiner's from Germany. The Weeks, Seymour and Scott families were from the British Isles. I have a long way to go. |
