ROUNDS, James, Elizabeth, MA Line, W7149, BLW #61160-160-55, sol enl in Cumberland Co MA, sol appl 25 Mar 1824 Brown Co OH aged 64 & he d there 3 Jan 1843, sol had m Elizabeth "Betsey" Woodruff or Woodrough on 9 Jan 1817 in Brown Co OH (marriage was recorded in Probate Court of Clermont Co OH), wid appl 22 Sep 1855 Putnam Co IN aged 90, in 1857 she had moved to Johnson Co IN, on 21 Jan 1843 "Letters Testamentary" were issued to James Rounds, Jr. & Robert Kennedy Exc'rs of wid's estate, in 1855 a Samuel Woodruff was a witness to wid's aff'dt & in 1857 a Jeremiah M. Woodruff was of Johnson Co IN (the relationship of these to [sic] men to wid was not given).

Samuel and Jeremiah M. Woodruff were probably her brothers, possibly a father or maybe uncles. Unclear of Elizabeth's date of death. She was 90 yrs old in 1855, yet a Letters Testamentary was issued in 1843 for HER estate. (??)

7/14/97 - WFT Vol. 5, Tree # 1231 shows James ROUNDS married Rachel CLAY before marrying Elizabeth WOODRUFF (WOODROUGH). This tree shows a birth date of 7/25/1758 for James and a birth date of 10/30/1792 for Mary Elizabeth WOODRUFF. Verify birth , marriage, and death dates for James, Rachel and "Mary" Elizabeth.
