I am researching the Ladely (Ladley, Ladeley, etc.), Slack (Slecht, Slaght, Sleight, etc.), Duncombe, Hurd, Gill (formerly McGill), McGuire, Griffin families and collateral lineages.The Ladely lineage goes back from Iowa to Muskingum Co. Ohio, to William H. Ladely (married Cornelia Slack, whose mother was Mary Griffin), to William's birth in Pennyslvania in 1819.The Slack lineage goes back from Iowa to Muskingum Co. Ohio, to Virginia, to Bucks Co. Pennlysvania, to immigrant Cornelis Slecht and wife Tryntje Bosch from Holland in 1652/53, to their families in Holland back to the 1400's.The Duncombe lineage includes immigrant Charles Duncombe from Buckinghamshire, England about 1732, his father William of Barleyend, Buckinghamshire, back to Thomas Duncombe and wife Joane Lee of Invinghoe, Buckinghamshire, England in 1500's, who were also ancestors of present Lord Feversham of Duncombe Park, Yorkshire, England.The Hurd lineage goes back to William Hurd in Iowa, to Loretto, PA, where he married Lucinda McGuire, back to his emmigration from Fromme, England about 1843.The Gill lineage,(originally McGill)l goes from Kansas back to PA to northern Ireland in 1840's.
