I am researching my AVERY family from NY>O>PA or VT>ending up in MI. Looking for the 1st name and ancestors of the AVERY husband to Mary (Fitzgeralds) Avery (b. 1807, Cayuga Co., NY , d/o Edward FITZGERALDS (1765) & Anna WALLACE (1768). Unknown AVERY and Mary were parents to 12 children: Ann Dorr (1827), Mary (1829), Thomas W. (1830), Daniel (1831), Pheba Jane (1834), Mary L. (1836), Martha M. (1838), my g-g-grandfather Edward Fitzgerald (1840-1905), Henrietta L. Avery (York?) (1842-1900), Enos (1844), George W. (1846), and Francis M. (1848).
Any information on this AVERY line would be greatly appreciated. Wondering where the DORR name came from for their firstborn, Ann's middle name. All these children were probably born in NY, but this is not confirmed.

Also interested in the family of Anna WALLACE, her siblings, parents, and ancestors. Other surnames of interest are LADD, FRISBIE, BROCK, & FOX.
