I am researching my family history (Laderoute) and am looking for any information on the Laderoutes of 19th century Arnprior, Calabogie, and Mount St. Patrick, Ontario, Canada. The Laderoutes of Arnprior are descendants of Francois Xavier Seguin dit Laderoute(Xavier Laderoute) and Henriette Robillard(Harriet Desormiers). Desormiers is the married name of Henriette, after she was widowed. Some of her descendants, in Arnprior mainly, would recognise her as Harriet Desarmia. Her parents were Joseph Robillard and Francoise Hunault-dit-Deschamps. Xavier Laderoute's parents were Francois Xavier Seguin-dit-Laderoute and Scholastique Servant.I now have the Hunault-dit-Deschamps and Robillard lines back to France and the 1600s thanks to many people who have spent the hours researching. I am making slow progress on the Servant lineage. I have Scholastique's parents' marriage date and place. Alexis Servant and Marie Louise Mallette were married on 24 November,1794 at St. Michel de Vaudreuil, Quebec. Alexis'parents are Pierre Servant and Marie-Madeleine Vincent. His sister (Alexis') was Marie-Anne Servant, married to Pierre Larocquebrune (Larocque, Rochbrune etc.).If anyone has anything on their ancestry it would be appreciated.
I am willing to share what I have with family, however distant.

Also, anyone who would have information on Michael John Laderoute, who was a member of 434 Squadron in England during WWII. What I am looking for in particular is a picture of him and his crew with a captured German plane. This picture was taken in the Middle East. Michael John was killed during a bombing raid in Europe and is buried in England.

L'Association des Seguin d'Amerique will have their annual meeting in Rigaud in October 2010. This should be of interest to anyone who is a Seguin or Laderoute who is interested in their roots. I attended eight of annual meetings (reunion) in Les Cedres, Cornwall, St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Ste-Adele, and Ste-Agathe. I missed Embrum, Went to Ottawa in 2008 and Ste- Agathe 2009. I had a great time all eight years. I recommend the reunion to anyone.

If you visit this website or come across it surfing please contact me by email. Always looking to meet more family and new friends.
