Christina Dutcher, bap. 8 Aug., 1703 (Albany). (See 1905 Holl. Soc., 29.) Named after her grandmother; wit.: Nicholas Bresie and Antje Bresie, her uncle and aunt. Not mentioned in her father's will, but alive as late as 1767; m. 13 or 24 Nov., 1720, at Claverack, N. Y. (1903 Holl. Soc., 7 and 13), Joshua White, bap. 1 May, 1698 (K., 1028), son of William White and Judith Meels or Meales, widow of Richard Hayes (see K., 359, 435, etc.), the Meels family being from New Haven, Conn. (see K. M., 63). Sergeant William White with his sons (see K., 779, 895, 1028, 1144, 1318) was early at Salisbury, Conn., and was with Abraham Van Deusen, the earliest purchaser there of Indian rights, and quite a prominent settler (Hist. of Litchfield Co., Conn., 520). Nov., 1715, Joshua (whose name once appears as "Gasguve," i. e. Jas-ju-v), under his father as Sergeant, and with his brothers and Roelof Dutcher, was a private in the Independent Co. of Livingstone Manor. May, 1738, with his brothers and Christopher Dutcher, he was a purchaser of original proprietary rights at Salisbury (Hist. Litchfield Co., Conn., 547, and Canaan First Settlers), and was assessed on 66.10.0. March 21, 1767, his wife Christina applied for letters on the estate of her mother, to be issued to her son Rulof White, (Sharon, Conn., Probate Records, Vol. 3, p. 190). Issue partially traced, in the absence of access to Connecticut records:
