Lady Family of Arkansas

Updated June 2, 2003

***
I am tracing the Lady family back to Henry Lady who lived in Lyon Co. (around Eddyville) Ky in late 1700s. Henry was a friend and maybe kinsman to General Lafayette of France. Lafayette visited Henry for one week and took back with him to France 13 barrels of dirt to put on his grave upon his death. Henry owned around 1200 acres of land in the area.
Other descendents where Henry Jr., Robert, Charles, Seldon, Porter, Franklin, Bud, Harold, Bobby. etc. Part of his family moved and settled in Trumann, AR and Lauratown/Clover Bend AR (Lawrence Co). There was a H.E Lady married to Alice Cunningham that may have been the orginal settlers in Lauratown but I can't find the connection to our family. They were married around 1876. We are the last of the Lady family in Lawrence Co.
