I am searching for ancestors of Harry William Lageson and Myrtle Genevieve Long (Lageson). Locations include Nebraska, Iowa, Texas, the Dakotas. Harry was born 2/11/1901 in Des Moines, IA and died 1/28/82 in Omaha, NE. Myrtle was born 4/21/03 inPerry, IA and died 11/8/82 in Lincoln, NE. Related surnames: Patch, Long, Campbell, Sage. Harry and Myrtle's children were Donald Frank, Dorothy, and Margaret Marie. Harry's parents were Helen Sage and Fred Lageson --Helen later married Fred Campbell. Myrtle's parents were Melvin Long and Myrtle Patch --a more distant relative was Sephus Patch, who was either Myrtle Patch's father or grandfather.
I am also researching the surnames:West, Gifford, Bishop, Davis, Shotts, and Sayre and am trying to establish a link with Robert Morris, who signed the declaration of Independence and between Thomas West (1816-1879)of West Mills, NE and Thomas West, 3rd Lord De La Warr (1577-1618), who was the first govenor of colonial Virginia. Know states of residence for these families: Ohio, W.VA, Illinois, Nebraska, Virginia, Philadelphia, England, Scotland, France. My Gifford research extends to Joseph Jesse Gifford's father, Jason Gifford, of Rochester, NY, and his mother, ?Morris.
