I guess my Mother really got me started on this journey. She had recently gone into a retirement home and a cleanout of her papers had revealed a tinful of history. Old birth and death certificates from her mother's family going back to a burial plot account dated 1849 in Glasgow Further research has taken us to the Great Potato Famine in Ireland in the 1840/50's, Northumberland in the 1600's, and the London Docklands in the late 1800's There is still a long way to go and help is always appreciated. |
