Hello to all,
We are researching Our Pantaleone( Ponda) and Vadini,Vadino, Vodina, Family Names :)
It is said that grandpa Domenico Pantaleone, came to America in the early 1900's.
I really don't know who he came to the America with.
He either went to or just ended up in Gary Indiana. He passed away in 1927.
He left behind his wife Chiorine (Vadini),his children and other family members.
I think in Spoltore Italy . He later sent for them. Some of them arrived in Jan. 1913.
The only ones that I know of that came to be with him would be
Grandma Chiorine Vadini, Grandma passed away around 1923 in Gary Indiana.
Daughter Maria and Son Michael came to Gary Indiana with grandma.
Michael later returned to Pescara, Italy and passed away there.
Mary stayed in Indiana and passed away in East Gary, Indiana.
We know that we had a Uncle Tony (Anthony)Vadino(Vadini) who lived and died in Girard, Ohio. Not sure of when he came but was around 17yrs old. He was grandmothers brother.
