| New Link at bottom for Preston Lajiness Family Pictures July 30 2008 Kevin Lajiness HistoryGenealogyandART Link at bottom June,30,2008 I will Be adding some Preston Lajiness b.1900 family and pictures from Luna Pier, MI. and some Charles and Idelia Sancrant and family pictures shortly. 3/4/2007 I have not worked on this site for some time now. But my research has continued over the past 10 years I’m getting better at finding mistakes in Censes records, recognizing migration patterns and trying to confirm my research, and using more than one source, however my grammar and spelling errors have muted me to a certain extent, the link at the bottom of the page takes you to my web album that has been my focus for these past years, I’m just to busy to go back and correct errors and I don’t want to throw out the baby with the bath water, My most resent research is in Baltimore and Washington co MD the Bond of ST Thomas Church, Garrison Forrest in MD and the Sager and Newcomer’s in Wa. Co that have appeared to have come from Northampton co Pa: click on the link at the bottom to go to Album,Below old stuff. I am researching the first one hundred Colonists in Quebec, beginning with the first permanent colonist north of the Mexican border, Louis Hebert. I am also studying the genealogical relationship between these families and the French Canadian families of Southern Michigan, specifically the Monroe area. Family names included are Sanscrainte, Lajiness, etc. For now this Project is on Hold. I Have to Much information going back to far to give it justice now. I have come to the conclusion that if you can connect through the LeNuef Line, Done By the Late Mr. Jette, the Royals are your Ouster. Also the First at Quebec are almost all Related somehow. I will update trees shortly. Now to change gears. I’ve been working on my Moms side witch are a different animal altogether. Her side basically came to America as a result of the Reformation in Europe in the 16th and 17th Century. A Few came as a result of William Penn to Philly then to The English colony of Maryland under Lord Baltimore At Monocracy Manor in Frederick, Co., MD. From There to places like Lancaster, Co., Penn, Mifflin Co, Scanton twp., Montgomery Twp. The Germans, English, Scottish Reformed from Frederick Co. went to Hancock Co., OH, Columbia CO., OH. Others Lutheran, Mennonites, Quakers, From VA, NJ,and WV. By studying the migration patterns of my ancestors and there occupations it is clear to me that early on in the pioneering life there is a connect if you will with groups from one area to the other area of the country that is almost predictable. In my research as I tried to Confirm the line from William Powell (AP Howell) to me it is my theory that John Powell from Paxtang PA (Will 1748, witnessed by Thomas McKee Indian trader) was probably son of William Powell (Upper Ferry Schuylkill abt1700) and that Thomas McKee’s Descendant Mary McKee’s{Wyandot Beauty) Grandmother Charlotte Brown Daughter of Adam Brown (captured razed and married to a Wyandot Indian, obtains near Chief status) Was Probably Henrietta Frerot~Browns Father or a 1st wife Marring John Bapt. Sanscrainte 2nd( my Fathers ancestor on his mothers side) was the son of Jean Bapt Sanscrante( Indian trader and interpreter signing the treaty of Greenville married 2nd to an Indian) worked closely with Alexander McKee, (Indian Trader In charge of Indian affairs for the British in Canada) and Ancestor of the Thomas Mckee, Indian trader signer of (( John Powell of Paxtang will 1748) My Mothers ancestor on her Mother’s side) : thus the 7 degrees of connection |
