Notes for HOMER LAKE:
WILL OF HOMER LAKE
I, Homer Lake, do make and publish my last will and testament as follows, hereby revoking all former wills made by me.
First: I give, devise and bequeath to my brother, Guy Lake, my undivided interest in a certain tract of land lying in Court House District, Taylor County, and known as the Josiah Bartlett farm and which is now owned by myself and said Guy Lake, but my brother Guy shall pay to my estate the sum of six hundred dollars unless he should pay to me some money before my death in which event I will give him a receipt and if such receipt is given then it shall be accepted as a credit upon said six hundred dollars and said six hundred dollars or such part thereof as is paid to my estate shall be used for the payment of my funeral expenses, to cost of a grave marker which I now direct to be placed at my grave, the cost of administration and if any balance then remains such balance is to be paid to my sister, Mary Lake.
Second: I give, bequeath and devise to my sister, Mary my undivided interest in the parcel of land lying in Court House District, Taylor County, known as the Charlie Newlon place and now owned by myself and my two sisters, the said interest being so given in fee.
Third: All other property remaining, including my livestock, I give to my sister, Mary Lake.
Fourth: I nominate and designate Mrs. Minerva Lake executrix of this will but provide that she shall be allowed to qualify and act as such without executing and filing a bond.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name on this the 4th day of May, 1935.
