I am researching the Lampinen Family from Soukolojarvi, Sweden near Overtonea. Many family members immigrated to Michigan's Copper Country in the 1880's. They first worked in the Copper Mines, and then either bought farm land in the Houghton and Keweenaw Counties, or moved to different parts of Minnesota to farm. I would like to know about any of the descendants living here in the U.S., or those still living in Sweden or Finland. |
