* North Carolina Lambert, Smith, Roberts and Shields Families*

Updated April 12, 2009

The Lambert Family is dated from 1700's with John Lambert and four sons; Richard, John, James and Jeremiah, immigrants from England. There is very little else that I know about them, but I am on the trail of some more information. With the Lamberts I have included some information on the Rapers and Roberts Families.

The Smith Family is derived from a mysterious male associating himself with the Cherokee people during the late 1700’s, identifing himself only as “Smith”, is accepted, and marries a clan chief’s daughter (there is some information here to be checked out).

The Shields Family also surfaces about the same time in Eastern Tennessee and later in Western North Carolina. There is information on the Kisselburgs included.

This page is undergoing constant revision, thanks to the input form family and friends (yes, your input is welcome, too. Contact me by e-mail, snail mail, or phone - either is welcomed).

I have included some pictures of various members of the families, and writings (from Carl, Edith, Sybil, etc)for your enjoyment, too. Your input is sought, ergo, send your data, pictures and manuscripts for inclusion.

Thanks for your time and - God Speed.
