Our family research on William Mickler, Lucius L. Estridge, and Max Lempert, is being pursued by me and several cousins, and we are combining our information. I, and my first cousins, am seeking information about our ancestors to create a true picture of each person, including photographs, where available. We want to know and record the stories and the myths.

This effort was stimulated recently by the death of two people two years ago. We all realized that it was important to write down information so that it would be available for the next generation, and those to follow.

The belief in our family is that we are the oldest documented family in the US. The first settler, a Solana, came here prior to 1594, married and had a son who was baptized at the Cathedral in St. Augustine, FL.

My husband's family, Lempert,Lampert, or some other variation, came to the US from Russia/Poland in 1891. We have not yet been able to discover the names of my husband's great-grandparents. They apparently immigrated to Pennsylvania.

My Estridge ancestors immigrated to the Carolinas from England, and then to Georgia, although I haven't yet connected the two. My paternal grandmother's family also came from England, and at least one of them fought in the Revolutionary War.

My interest is in finding out more than just names and dates. I'd like to know what these people did and how they lived. If anyone knows of any information, I would appreciate learning it.
