Family Surnames include: Krumwiede, Duensing, Ahlefeld, Niklaus, Handke, and Yoder Family first settled in Bloomingdale, IL, Whittemore, IA, Sauk Centre, MN, and Chicago, IL. Other areas the family settled in are: Glen Ellyn, IL; Wheaton, IL, (and other western suburbs of Chicago) & Belgrade, MN. Wilhelm Lammers became a US citizen in October of 1888. He took his oath in Kossuth, IA at the age of 21. This picture was taken close to that time.

This is the Krumwiede home in Bloomingdale, IL. Note that Roselle Road is dirt. This was the first stop for all of the Christian Lammers,(Sophia's father) family coming from Rodewald.

Edward & Sophia geb. Lammers immagrated to the US in 1885 aboard the SS Eider. They settled in Bloomingdale, IL where, it is said that all of the remaining family in Rodewald made their first stop in the US.
