This webpage is from data and research starting with the family of Gorden E. Lamberson as he was the catalyst for this undertaking. Dad's Grandfather was born and raised in DeKalb County Tennessee and moved to Paris,Texas after the Civil War. William Riley Lamberson was in Company A of the 7th Tennessee Infantry. Dad's father, William E. Lamberson, born in Lamar County, TX moved to Oklahoma, most likely following work, and lived in Yale,Oklahoma and later Newkirk. When Dad was a young man he set out for California looking for work and certainly adventure. He met his future wife in Califonia. After serving in Guadal Canal and New Guinea in WWII Dad returned to California. He settled with his bride, Mary Cornelia Dixon, a native of San Bruno, San Mateo County, California in Sonoma County California and raised 7 children.
