This is John Lambie born 1906 in Troon, Scotland to Gavin Lambie & Margaret Boone. They emigrated to Canada in 1911 and were booked on the Titanic! This was overbooked so they had to travel on a later sailing of its sister ship the Lusitania which was later sunk by the Germans with the loss of three Lambies.
He married Sarah Jane Palmer and became a Fire Chief. He also had another life - John "Hap" Lambie was his professional name. He was a Country & Western singer. He MC'ed at rodeos, had his own band and recording label. His two eldest daughters - Margaret and Grace - sang with him in their mid-teens.
