My family research started here in the Miami Valley with some of the early 1800 settlers of Greene, Darke, Preble, Hamilton counties: BOONE, SHILT, THORPE, TILLMAN, SCHAAR, NEALEIGH, RICE, WRIGHT, LEDBETTER. It includes nearby Wayne Co., IN early 1800 settlers with LAMB, LAWS, SPAHR, HUNT, BOONE, BRUMFIELD. It follows them to Iowa, and Missouri, and back to Indiana and Ohio. I am starting to discover their roots in PA, WV, and VA. They come from England, Scotland, Switzerland, Germany.The other side of my family has many people from Iowa including the JAEGER, CURTIS, GEIGER, TYLER, ALES, FRANZWA, PEDELTY, Additional relatives are from nearby Illinois and Wisconsis including SCHUMACHER, RICE, and GRAHAM. They come from NY, Canada, Luxembourg, Germany, Scotland, Switzerland, England.I am currently searching for information on 1) ancestors and children of William Thomas THORPE born in Cincinnatti OH 1827, and his wife Ellen Sarah MAHADDY born in Dayton OH 1835. buried in Gordon, Darke Co, OH.2) Parents of William A. RICE d 1862 in Taylor, Courtland Co., NY. and his wife Theodosia. 3) Information on the date and place of death of William BOONE b PA (1783?) and his wife Anna Salome PRICE b VA. known to live in Hamilton and Butler Co., OH; daughters Catherine Lamb and Elizabeth Brumfield buried in Wayne Co., IN.4) Information on and The parents of Clara Agnes JAEGER b 1843 and her husband Ephriam Luther CURTIS b 1841 both buried in Linwood Cemetery in Dubuque Iowa.Have family books on SPAHR, HUNT, NEALEIGH, TILLMAN, and SHILT and a history of Wayne Co., IN.
