| I am researching the LAMY family that emigrated from ALSACE-LORRAINE France in the 1825 to 1835 timeframe. George LAMY(H),Catherine(W),Henry(Son),Sally(Wife),Jacob(Son),& Eva(Wife)emigrated to Western ,NY. They left from LE HAVRE,France with a large group of ALSACE-LORRAINE people in the above timeframe. They all began farming in E. EDEN, NY, which is just south of Buffalo, NY, in ERIE County. A son of Jacob and Eva (Jacob Henry Lamy) moved to Constableville,NY (LEWIS County)in the 1860 timeframe & married Magdalena Elaine MARCY. They farmed in that township and had 13 children. Much of the NY state family records are currently being researched. The key information about their ALSACE-LORRAINE origins (Village & Family) is vitally needed. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Of course we can share information and ideas. |
