Bob's LaMere/Lemere/Lemire Family Page

I am researching my connections to Jean Lemire who was born in Normandie, Old France in the 1620's and who came to Canada by 1650. I am interested in the collateral lines descending from Jean as they appear to mirror what happened to members of the early Canadian families. Some went to the Midwest; others were removed from Acadia to England, France, the Caribbean and Louisiana; still others sought jobs in the mills of New England and the forests and goldfields of the far west.
I am especially interested in fleshing out the details of the family of Francois Lemire, b. 1785, who married Genevieve Houde/Houle/Clair on Oct. 26, 1813 at St. Antoine de la Baie du Febvre. They appear to have had at least 9 children of whom my great-great grandfather was one. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.
