Notes for T
HOMAS LAMBERT:
To Thomas Lambert:
Your Thomas Lambert, born Nov 13, 1804 was the son of Thomas Lambert, b. C1755 and died 23 Dec 1837. He married Diana/Dinah Bollinger Harkins, widow of Daniel Harkins. She was born C1762 and died 29 Mar 1847. Their marriage bond was posted 11 Sep 1801 in Frederick Co., VA. This mentions her father as Stephen Bollinger. I have a copy from a book published about marriage bonds in Frederick Co., VA. The deaths came from a typewritten copy of a Lambert bible owned by a Lambert in Walla Walla, WA. My brother copied it by hand, and later typed it up. So far, most of everything I have found
finds the dates accurate. I'm not sure where Thomas Sr & Dinah died. I suspect Thomas Sr. died in VA, but have no proof.
Thomas and Dinah had the following children: John Lambert b. 1802 VA, Timothy Lambert b. 1803 VA, Thomas Lambert b.1804 VA, James Lambert b. 1808 VA, and Henry Lambert b. 1842 in VA. My brother had a note at bottom of page, "Isaac Lambert, Jan 1, 1843" He was born c1797. Not sure if he was another child my brother left out or what. There was also Adam B. Lambert b. C1811 VA who traveled from VA to MO with them. I don't know how he was related.
I am a descendant of James Lambert, son of Thomas and Dinah. My James died in Linn Co., MO in 1850. John died 1849 in Linn Co., MO. Henry died 1853 in Linn Co., MO.
My James' son Charles was in OR by 1876. The last place I have for your Thomas Jr was in
Linn Co., MO when he married Alice Sturges on Jan 5, 1868. Thomas Jr.'s daughter Sarah was born in Ohio in about 1844, and his son John was born about 1850 in Linn Co., MO. This means they traveled to MO between these events.
Your Thomas Jr was in Brunswick, Chariton Co., MO for 1850 & 1860 censuses.
Hope this helps. Your cousin Carol in FL
