The Billmeyer-Lamm Family PageUpdated April 17, 2006 | |
| Welcome to the Billmeyer/Lamm family page. We have been researching our families for the past 3 or 4 years. We have had a lot of help in our research from people who are doing their own, and have found new friends, even though we have never met. I speak especially about Joris Meijer,a volunteer at the Mormon Library somewhere in New Zealand, who, while doing his own research over many years, accumulated a lot of information on my branch of the Zotter Family. There have been others, a little here, a little there. If you think you might be related, read on and find out. We have over 900 names in our data-base, and are adding more all the time. Our families stretch from Austria and Germany to Australia and a lot of territory in between. Billmeyer/Yaste Both the Billmeyers and the Yastes (and their various spellings) come from the Palinate regions of Germanyand their history in this country dates from the middle 1700s. They settled in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and points west. Famiily Surnames Family surnames include Billmeyer and many variations of spelling, Yaste and its variations, Yommers, Wright, Witzgall, Wooden, Wyle, Yost, Jost, Meyers, Hare, Bowser and athers. Lamm/Zotter The Lamms and the Zotters came from Austria, mostly after World War I. They settled in New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and some in Illinois and Wisconsin. Family Surnames Names in our database include Lamm, Zotter, Werner, Mund, Mehlmauer, Devaty, Neuherz, Karl, Braunstein, Kern, Schmidt, Adam, Kohlmann, Kahr, Hendler, Winkler, Ropposch, Roposch, Zieger, Taucher, Windisch, Langer and many others. This is our story which is still a work in progress. |
