Notes for Edward J Baum:
After Edward moved to South Dakota, Ed and his new wife joined Martin Baum in Hutchinson County and the two families decided to move northward to Beadle County, Dakota Territory. Loading furniture, children and supplies into a wagon they started out, along with 100 head of cattle, some horses and oxen.

They finally settled on the east side of the river in clifton township. They settled in Clifton Township in about 1879...
