 Includes NotesNotes for Haim Avraham:
Haim Avraham, husband of Edna Aharoni, father of Efrat, Daphne and Benjamin "Beni" Avraham, was born in Iraq and raised his family in Petach Tikvah, Israel.

Benjamin "Beni" Avraham, son of Haim Avraham and Edna Aharoni, was one of the three Israeli soldiers kidnapped from their northern army outpost by the Syrian forces on October 7, 2001. They "disappeared" and the incident became an international affair for several years, while their families tried to move the powers-that-be to look for them and have them returned to Israel! Only after several years of political "blackmail" and much effort, were the bodies of the three boys returned to Israel, in their coffins, for burial by their mourning families, in 2004, as part of a complicated arrangement between governments and UN.
The families, especially led by Haim Avraham, and his daughter, Efrat Avraham, were very active in trying to get the boys returned. They had hoped and prayed that they would be brought back alive, but this dream was not realized..

The three boys were Beni Avraham, nephew of Gila Aharoni Sapir (wife of Yona Sapir), Adi Avitan and Omar Souied. Throughout the years of search and PR, the families kept on hoping and praying that their sons were still alive. Many agencies and much press were involved in the efforts to bring them back.

Children of Haim Avraham and Edna Aharoni are:
  1. Efrat Avraham, b. 1975, Petach Tikvah, Israel.
  2. Daphne Avraham, b. 1977, Petach Tikvah, Israel.
  3. Benjamin Beni Avraham, b. 1980, Petach Tikvah, Israel, d. Bet. 2001 - 2004, Syria, Middle East.
