Henry Pletcher, daughter of BENJAMIN MILLER and RUTH ?. She was born 1833 in West Virginia, and died July 12, 1905 in Moundsville, WV ².

From West Virginia Archives: Mustered in (Civil War) 12th West Virginia Infantry, Company B, 20 Aug 1862 at Wheeling, WV. Farmer, born Ohio County, WV. Wounded in action on 14 June 1863, at Winchester, Va: died 18 Jun 1863 in hospital at Winchester, Va. of wounds received by shell hitting right leg. He died after amputation of that leg.

Some records would indicate that Alexander was buried at Silver Hill, Wetzel Co, W.Va., while others indicate that he was buried with unknown Union soldiers in Winchester, Va.
