Helias granted land to the Friars of Hexham 1212-1217 for taking him and his heir into their fraternity. The name of that heir was not stated. It is assumed by the Featherstone Society that the heir was Thomas, yet there is a record in the IGI/LDS of Ralph Featherstonehaugh, born abt. 1200 with the father stated as Elias Featherstonehaugh....see Film 1553486.
