Notes for Jessie (Peach) Davis: My Mum. Probably the nicest person you could ever meet. I was spoilt. Her nickname of 'Peach' comes from her complexion. She smoked heavily most of her life but lived until 77, outliving Dad by a wide margin. She was what you could call the 'Back-bone ' of the family. Taking care of 6 kids, Dad & Nan & Grandad. She kept a firm hand over us children but it was always for the best & served us all well. When called to dinner at Coomassie Road we would run the gauntlet at the top of Grandads steps where Mum stood ready to clip us around the ear for being late. Ahh the good times. She also had a wonderful family in Nellie & Ted, the two I knew. There were others. Love & miss you dearly Mum.
