On 14 September 1702 John Lanham and John Watkins appraised the estate of William Coghill. On 23 September 1703 Lanham and Thomas Gatton appraised the inventory of John Watkins. John Lanham was one of the appraisers of the estate of Joseph Janes(Jones?) of Prince George's County on 21 March 1720.(It is uncertain if this John Lanham was the original settler, or if it was his son, John, Jr.
