1. HUGH¹ STONE was born Abt. 1638 in England, and died Abt. 1732 in Warwick, R.I.. He married ABEGAIL BUSCOT Abt. 1667. She was born Abt. 1642.

Notes for HUGH STONE:
Hugh Stone, the oldest known generation Stone member probably emigrated to North America and Rhode Island in the Ship "Deborah" which arrived in Narragansett Bay in the year 1657 from London, England. Names of the emmigrants were not listed, but soon after this date, Hugh Stone is mentioned amoung the inhabitants of Warwick. He lies buried with three of his sons, Hugh, Peter, and John in the Old Stone Burying Ground on the Doctor Aldrich Farm in Warwick, R.I. (Richard C. Stone's book "The Geneology of the Stone Family originating in Rhode Island," 1866)
He lived past the age of 90, and his decendents, including Kevin J. Langan, and David B. Langan in the eleventh generation, have reached the thirteenth generation, and number probably over three thousand. (Kevin Langan, 2000)
