Notes for WILLIAM STONE:
William Stone, born in Cranston, R.I., moved to Coventry, R.I. when he was about 13. He spent time in the American army during the American Revolutionary War, serving under Sullivan, in battles around Rhode Island. He then owned a farm which had a saw mill on it, so he was in the lumber trade. He was The President of the Town Council of Coventry, was Justice of the Peace, and Deacon of the Baptist Church.
