Notes for JACOB WOLF:
Jacob Wolf, Sally's great grandfather, is the earliest known relative on her paternal side. He may have been born in Lancaster, Pa. where the Wolf's first settled in America after coming over from the Alsace Region of Germany (now the area of Strasbourg, France). He settled in Shippensburg, Pa. probably after meeting and marrying his wife, Marina Seitz there. About the time his wife died in 1904, it is believed his son, Jacob Russell Wolf was working building bridges for the railroads which took J.R. Wolf to the Ravenna/Kent area of Ohio where he met his wife, Lida Rhinehart, and married and settled in Ravenna, Ohio.
Jacob Wolf visited his son in Ravenna during the first three decades of the 20th Century, probably to see his grandchildren Jacob Eli Wolf and Marguerite Wolf. According to his grandson, Jacob Eli, and the family bible, Jacob Wolf died in 1936 while in Ravenna visiting his son, however his remains were returned to Shippensburg and buried along side those of his wife in Spring Hill Cemetery. Notes for MARINA SEITZ:
Marina Seitz had either a sister or brother, whose name is unknown, and this individual had a daughter named Ardella M. Seitz (1901-1985). Ardella married Roy C. Naugle (1901-1988) (also known as Tom). They are both buried in Shippensburg, Pa. at Spring Hill Cemetery in Section 1.4 (Kevin Langan-April 2001)
