My Family and I have researched the LANDRY & LANDRIE family Ancestory for the past 40 Years. Our family Name changed from LANDRY to LANDRIE when my great great grand parents migrated from Canada to Montana (Moses Landry and Philemene Lafromboise). Moses's parents were; Louis Landry & Isabelle (dit richard) Chalifoux - Philemene Lafromboise parents were; Jean Baptist Lafromboise & Susanne (Gaudry) Beaudry. Isadore Landry - Octivia Swan were my great grand parents and Louis John Landrie & Ester Violet Moser were my grand parents. I have records that date back to the 1700's for the Sur-Name LANDRY and I'm more then willing to share what I have gathered with anyone who is interested. I'm always on the search for more information and ties to relatives that we have thoughout the world. Recently we made contact with a number of relatives that live in Canada and have been sharing information frequently about our family history. Family history includes French Canadian Indian roots (Metis) in Canada and the United States. The Landry/Landrie Family also has ties to the Little Shell Tribe of Chippewa Indians of Montana who are currently awaiting final U.S. Federal recognition. A number of family members are registered as Tribal Members of Little Shell Tribe including myself.
