I am really just getting started with this and will provide additional information as soon as I can. I am looking for the following surnames: LaPlante, Thivierge, Braman, Emery, Finley, Beckstead, Otto, Desormeau, Segouin.I have run into a block at my G-Grandfather Timothy who was adopted by a minister but was able to keep his name.Most of my ancestors are of Canadien and French Canadien descent.Any information on research methods in Canada would be greatly appreciated. |
