Poole, Land Yacht Press, Nashville, 1999, p. 28: BINKLEY, MARGARET - Mrs. Margaret Binkley, in her 83rd year, died at her home, the residence of her son Mr. C. C. Binkley, on Feb. 18, 1888. She was married to Mr. Absolom Binkley in her 18th year. In 1836, he died leaving her with a large family of children to care for. She remained in widowhood during the remainder of her life. She has 4 children out of eight still living. From the eight were born to her 53 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Of these there are 43 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren yet living. She was a member of the Methodist church when she died, having belonged to it 70 years. Aunt Peggy, as she was known, leaves only one brother behind, Mr. Hiram Binkley.
