This page is dedicated to the geneology of the Kujat's and Liska's. The Liska family were immigrants from Slovakia in the early 1900's. The Kujat's have a more widespread lineage from Poland and Lithuania. Other research is being done on the Lashock's (Lazczak?)/Klocek families--most of which originates in Poland. Our families, primarily have their most current residence in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Matthew Liska and Frank Kujat, Sr. were both Anthracite Coal Miners in the Hazleton and Drifton areas respectively. Matthew Liska married Dorothy Theresa Stofka, also an immigrant from Slovakia. Frank Kujat, Sr married Anna Kunigishki both of Drifton, Pennsylvania. |
