I am currently researching on my maternal side the George Alma Blakeslee (b. 8-22-1826 d. 9-20-1890) family. He is credited with founding Galien, Michigan. George married Lydia Alcott (b. 10-20-1831 d. 9-8-1902). Family lore says she was a relative of Louisa May Alcott. I am trying to find that connection also. I did inherit family scrapbooks that have helped me so far.On my paternal side I have a great aunt who wants to know about her father's family. I have very little to go on at the moment. Her dad was John Frank Zens (b.4-14-? d. 2-10-circa1945) and he married Ruth Emily Langer (b. 11-2-1894 d. 2-14-1989). They resided in Pearl Beach, MI. Her grandfather was also John Frank Zens and he married Elizabeth. Any information would be appreciated. I am also happy to help out anyone else.
