1. WILLIAM¹ LATTA was born Abt. 1780 in Ireland. He married MARTHA WARDEN, daughter of SAMUEL WARDEN and MARY CLARK.

Notes for WILLIAM LATTA:
Robert Latta Researach: William had at least three brothers, all born in Ireland, came to America. Name of first Latta unknown. Also says William "claimed relationship with Daniel Boone. With 3 brothers he came to America. He settled in the Monongahela Valley, near Belle Vernon, Pa., and the house which he b;uild was still standing a number of years ago(from 1932) at Roscoe, Pa. He was married twice." Does not give a second wife's name.
Latta Family Newsletter: Alex. L. Latta, Jr., Beaumont, Alberta, Can., states it is believed the first Latta immigration to Ireland occured about 1620 from near Ayr, Scotland to Bready (pronounced Brady), Ireland.
