ARY A. ''DOLLY'' SMITH:
Dolly Shaffer was probably buried at New Hope Presbyterian Church Cemetery, next to her husband John M. Shaffer! John M. Shaffer was living in Oktibbeha Co., Miss. according to the 1840 Census! And Dolly may have died while they were living there. John M. Shaffer's Grave has a large pile of rock's on his grave, and there is another grave cover'ed in rock's beside John's grave. I assume this is the grave of Mary D. Dolly "Smith" Shaffer. Her brother Thomas Isaac Smith was also buried close to their grave's. Thomas married John M. Shaffer sister; Elizabeth Shaffer, who died in Perry Co., Alabama, and was buried in Hale Co., Alabama.
