Jacob arrived in America from Alzey, Germany aboard the "Prince of Wales" ship, landing in Philadelphia, PA. November 5, 1764 [Source: (1) Eighteenth Century Register of Immigrants from Southwest Germany; (2) Pennsylvania German Pioneers]. Pennsylvania church records at the First Reformed Church in Philadelphia show baptisms of three children of Jacob and Clara: Carl Philip, Jacob, and an unnamed child, all in September, 1765. The next records found are baptisms in 1772 and 1774 in Frederick Co. MD. In 1789 Jacob appeared in the church records of St. James Reformed Church in Loudoun Co. VA. which is just across the bordor from Frederick Co. Many of the people in those areas travelled back and forth between the two churches so it is not known if Jacob actually lived in Maryland. He was on the Loudoun Co. Tax Lists for 1787, 1788, 1789 with the name being spelled as Tishtamer, Tushimer
