This Laurie family emigrated from Scotland in 1841 on the sailing vessel called "Phenix", landing in New York, but settling in Harwich Township, Ontario.

The Mifflin line from Warnminster England, emigrating in 1845 landing in Kent County, Ontario.

The O'Brien line from Ireland emigrating approximately 1875, settling in Cushing Quebec.

The Pettit line from England emigrating approximately 1889.

The Morand line from Ste. Martin D'Angueleme, France, emigrating approximately 1680.

The Neilson line of Scottish descent.
