Hi! Welcome to our homepage! Sheri and I are researching the descendants of the Abraham Lauber family, specifically the descendants of Christian Lauber (b.10/29/1796)who emigrated from the Alsace-Lorraine in the 1830's to settle NW Ohio.
Other family names associated with the our Laubers are: Zimmerman, Wyse, Bucher and Geiger. We are also researching the Behnke family, who are associated with the following surnames: Lickert, Knierim, Kurth and Whittenberg. The Behnkes are believed to have immigrated from Germany in about 1870 to NW Ohio. They are usually found in Ottawa Co., and later in Fulton Co. Ohio.
Joe's mom is a Baldwin. On her paternal side we are searching for Anderson, Kistler, Ferguson, Searfoss and Willey families that were in or near the Hancock Co., OH area in the early and mid 1800's. On her maternal side we are searching for Steele, Daily, Mills and McCristy families from Ohio during the 1800's. There are also some Myers here from PA, as well as a family tie to the surname Davis.
Another big part of our research is Sheri's side, the Dippery family. This family is based on the descendants of Jacob Dippery, who was born between 1725 and 1735. Jacob's son, Jacob was born in Berks Co., PA in approximately 1765-1770. The Dippery's moved from Pennsylvania to Ohio during the late 1860's.
Other family names associated with the Dippery's are: Waecht, Gross, Klapp, Lorehead, Lare and Heckman. We are also researching the Boyd family, who are tied to the following families: Calvin, Pelton, Carus, Smith, Bullard, Stuart, Pell and Weaver.
Finally, we are looking for lots of help with the Schall family. We are currently looking for Schall, Ward, Loar, Henry and Goff families with ties to Northwest Ohio in the early 1900's and late 1800's. The Loars are descendants of Jacob Loar from near Cumberland, Maryland.
Any help offered with any of the above families would be very appreciated. We would love to help you out as well if we can.
We are looking forward to hearing from you!
Thanks, Joe and Sheri Lauber
