My family has been researching our anscestor for four genrations.
The direct line family names include: Laufer (Austria), Bennett (Franklin County, TN), Miller (Stuben County, NY), Fero (Stuben County, NY), Payne (Bedford County, TN), Davies (Union County KY), McLean (Logan County, KY), Davidson (Mecklenburg County, NC), Brevard (Mechlenburg County, NC), and Montaque (Middlesex, VA).

We held a joint Bennett-Miller Reunion in honor of my grandmother, Ethel Marie Miller Bennett, for her 100th birthday during August 1998 in Eastern Tennessee. Many of the families who came were from as far as Washington state, California, Utah, South Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina. A group of us went down to Franklin Tennessee for a day to see where the two families met.

I am currently working on a side branch of my direct family line, the Arnolds from East Tennessee. Walter Benton Arnold (b.1/11/1887)married my grandmother's sister, Alma V. Miller on January 1, 1914 in Tennessee. His father was Joe Mack Arnold and his mother was Anna Gamble. I have been told that this was his father's second marriage. They were part of the brown eyed Arnolds, not the blue eyed Arnolds. Any additional information would be welcomed.

I am willing to share information on deceased anscestors.
