This indenture made the twenty-ninth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and forty-eight, Between Solomon DAVIS, John H. DAVIS, and Solomon DAVIS, Jr., of the
township of Sugarloaf, in the County of Columbia and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Elizabeth the
wife of Solomon DAVIS, Jr., of the one part, and Andrew LAUBACH of the township, county and State
aforesaid, of the other part; Witnesseth: That the said Solomon DAVIS, John H. DAVIS, and Solomon
DAVIS, Jr., and Elizabeth his wife for and in consideration of the sum of Seventeen Hundred Dollars,
current money of the State of Pennsylvania to them in hand well and truly paid by the said Andrew LAUBACH at and before
the sealing and delivery hereof, the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge and thereof acquit and forever discharge the
said Andrew LAUBACH, his heirs, Executors and Administrators by these presents, have granted, bargained, sold, delivered,
enfeoffed, released and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release and confirm unto the
said Andrew LAUBACH, his heirs and assigns; A certain messuage, that piece of land situate lying and being in the
township of Sugarloaf aforesaid and which the said Solomon DAVIS, John H. DAVIS, and Solomon DAVIS, Jr., now resides,
and Bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at a White Ash, thence North one degree West two hundred and fifty perches to a
hickory, thence North fifty-five degrees East, two perches to a post, thence South seventy-five degrees East thirty-eight
perches to post; thence South sixty-seven degrees East thirty-two perches to post, thence South eighty-six degrees East
twenty-one perches to a Beach, thence South fifteen degrees East eighty-one perches to a post, thence South eleven degrees
East thirty-six perches to a post, thence South one degree East one hundred and fifteen perches to stones, thence West ninety
perches to the place of beginning, containing one hundred and nine acres of land be the same more or less; Eighty-Seven
Acres of the above land was conveyed to Jacob HESS by deed from William HESS dated the twentieth day of August, A.D.
1812, and nineteen acres to Tobias HESS by deed dated the twelfth day of May A.D. 1814 [?], and was conveyed to Sarah
WINN by Jacob HESS and wife by deed dated the thirtieth day of January A.D., 1819, And the said William SIMONS [?]
and Sarah his wife conveyed the same to Henry WINN by deed dated the twenty-fourth day of July A.D., 1823, and was
conveyed to Solomon DAVIS, John H. DAVIS, and Solomon DAVIS, Jr., by Deed dated April the 1st A.D., 1841, by Henry
WINN and Catharine his wife (the above described tract or piece of land lies adjoining lands of Benjamin COLE, Geo. HESS
and others). Together with all and singular the buildings, improvements and appurtenances whatsoever other unto
belonging or in any wise appertaining, and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof, and also all the
estate, right, title, interest, property, claim, and demand whatsoever of them the said Solomon DAVIS, John H. DAVIS, and
Solomon DAVIS, Jr., and Elizabeth his wife in law or equity and otherwise howsoever, of, in, to, or out of all and singular the
premises and every part thereof, to have and to hold the said described messuage, tract or piece of land hereditaments and
premises hereby granted with the appurtenances unto the said Andrew LAUBACH his heirs and assigns forever, and the said
Solomon DAVIS, John H. DAVIS, and Solomon DAVIS, Jr., for themselves, their heirs, Executors and administrators, doth
covenant, promise, grant and agree to and with the said Andrew LAUBACH his heirs and assigns by these present that the
said Solomon DAVIS, John H. DAVIS, and Solomon DAVIS, Jr., and their [writing changes here and is difficult to read - -
PALE] heirs the said above mentioned described tract or parcel of land, hereditaments and premises hereby granted or
intended is to be with the appurtenances unto the said Andrew LAUBACH his heirs and assigns & [?] then ____ [?] Andrew
LAUBACH his heirs and assigns against them the said Solomon DAVIS, John DAVIS & Solomon DAVIS Jr. and his heirs
and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim Shall and will warrant and
forever defend by these presents. In testimony whereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands and
seals, dated the day and year first above written.

Personally appears before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace in and for Said County Solomon DAVIS, John H. DAVIS, Solomon DAVIS Jr. and Elizabeth his wife and acknowledged the within written indenture to be their act and deed and desired that the same might be recorded as such according to law - - She the said Elizabeth being of full age separate and apart from her said husband by me examined and the contents thereof made known to her and particularly consenting to the same.
